My son has been going to the club for a year now. We are so happy with his enthusiasm and learning. The teachers are very patient with such a young child and able to encourage him. Thank you!
I visited Marina last year with my son and I was so upset with the service it has taken me months to leave a review.
Firstly, I requested speech evaluation and she did an entire in depth consultation. She said, speech was the last of our concern with his many neurological issues. However, she started the assessment with a high energy activity and then expected a four year old to sit down and discuss topics without any transition.
I chose her because my child is bilingual, and she didn’t account for that at all.
She was rude and implied the child was dumb - her exact words “he is really fit, he won’t be an IT specialist but he might be an athlete.”
I have had many teachers and another speech pathologist contradict this assessment and say there is absolutely nothing neurological to be concerned about. The boy is now 5 and speaks 2 languages, participates in an IT club, plays tennis and attends school.
As a teacher myself, I would never present a learning or neurological difficulty as a limitation but rather suggestions to promote the best possible outcome.
The comments caused stressed and we wasted our money.
